1. Platform Nature & Disclaimer
FinLawExperts is India's first AI-empowered online directory built exclusively for Chartered Accountants and Lawyers — connecting verified professionals with clients who need them most. FinLawExperts does not provide legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. All advice is rendered solely by the registered experts in their individual professional capacity.
2. Expert Eligibility
By registering as an Expert, you confirm that you hold valid professional credentials (e.g., CA, CS, CMA, Advocate, CFA, CFP, or equivalent) and are in good standing with the relevant regulatory body. You agree to provide accurate credential details during onboarding and to promptly update them if they change.
3. Profile & Content Accuracy
You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of all information in your expert profile, including bio, qualifications, domains, practice areas, service descriptions, and fee structure. Any misrepresentation may result in immediate suspension or removal from the platform.
4. Client Interactions & Professional Conduct
You agree to conduct all consultations professionally, ethically, and in compliance with applicable professional standards. You shall not solicit clients for off-platform transactions to circumvent platform fees. All communications should remain respectful, confidential, and within the scope of the booked consultation.
5. Fees, Payments & Commissions
FinLawExperts charges a platform commission on each completed consultation. The exact percentage will be communicated during onboarding and may be revised with prior notice. Payouts to experts will be processed to the bank details provided during onboarding, subject to applicable deductions (TDS, GST, etc.).
6. Cancellation & Refund Policy
If a client cancels a booking within the allowed cancellation window, the expert will not receive payment for that session. If an expert cancels, the client will receive a full refund. Repeated cancellations by experts may affect their visibility or lead to suspension.
7. Reviews & Ratings
Clients may leave ratings and reviews after consultations. You may not manipulate, incentivize, or suppress reviews. FinLawExperts reserves the right to moderate reviews that violate community guidelines.
8. Data Privacy & DPDPA 2023 Compliance
FinLawExperts ("Data Fiduciary") processes your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and rules framed thereunder. 8.4 Consent Withdrawal (Section 6(4)): You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account from the Dashboard. Upon withdrawal, FinLawExperts will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the legality of processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
8.5 Data Retention (Section 8(7)): Your personal data is retained only as long as your account remains active and for the purpose for which it was collected. Upon account deletion or consent withdrawal, data is erased within 30 days, unless retention is mandated under applicable Indian laws (e.g., Income Tax Act, Companies Act).
8.6 Data Security (Section 8(4)): We implement reasonable security safeguards including encryption (TLS/SSL), Firebase security rules, access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform) to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, breach, or misuse.
8.7 Data Breach Notification (Section 8(6)): In the event of a personal data breach, FinLawExperts shall notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected Data Principals in the manner prescribed under the DPDPA without unreasonable delay.
8.8 Grievance Officer (Section 8(10)): For any data privacy concerns, complaints, or requests regarding your personal data, you may contact our Grievance Officer at: contact@finlawexperts.com. We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days.

8.10 Cross-Border Data Transfer (Section 16): Your data is stored on servers within India (Google Cloud — Mumbai region) and is not transferred outside India unless required for platform operations (e.g., Firebase global infrastructure), in which case transfers comply with DPDPA Section 16 provisions and government-notified permissible jurisdictions.
9. Intellectual Property
All content you upload (bio, documents, portfolio) remains your intellectual property. However, you grant FinLawExperts a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display this content on the platform for the purpose of connecting you with clients.
10. Termination
FinLawExperts reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms, professional misconduct, fraudulent activity, or if required by law. You may also request account deletion at any time through the dashboard.
11. Limitation of Liability
